Thanksgiving Decorations from the Pumpkin Patch
Halloween may be over but that's no reason why we need to put away the pumpkins. There are a number of creative ways that you can incorporate pumpkins into your Thanksgiving Dinner from the decorations to the online invitations to the table cards to the meal!
- Mini Pumpkin Table Cards - Use a knife to slice a thin slit into the top of the mini pumpkin. Insert your place cards into the slit and place them at the head of each guest's table setting. Party tip: split up couples so they can interact with other guests at the dinner.
- Pumpkin Candle Centerpiece - Hallow out the center of a medium to large pumpkin then insert a clear candle holder with candle. Light the candle in time to provide a little holiday ambiance to your Thanksgiving table.
- Pumpkin-Filled Vases - Fill two medium to large clear vases with mini pumpkins, squash, and other colorful gourds. Place them on the mantle, serving buffet or coffee table to provide additional decoration for your dinner.
- Pumpkin Seed Appetizer - Bake the pumpkin seeds from the pumpkin candle centerpiece. Split the seeds into 2 or 3 groups to flavor separately (original, garlic, and spicy are favorites!). Serve the seeds in three small serving bowls for guests to enjoy as they arrive before dinner.
- Pumpkin Pie - Who doesn't love pumpkin pie for dessert? This holiday classic is sure to please your guests who will most certainly make room for delicious pumpkin pie!
Enjoy Planning.
