What is Thanksgiving without Corn Bread?
In honor of National Homemade Bread Day and with Thanksgiving coming up, I thought it appropriate to share one of my favorite holiday recipes for corn bread!
Native Americans used corn for cooking long before European explorers arrived in the New World so it's fitting to have corn bread at your Thanksgiving feast.
This recipe is a delicious twist on this classic dish by adding cheese to your corn bread. You'll need the following:
- 2 boxes of corn bread mix
- 1 egg
- 1 can creamed corn
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese or other cheese of your liking
Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl, pour into a pan, bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
Enjoy Planning.
