A Delicious Thanksgiving Cocktail Recipe
Looking for a great last-minute Thanksgiving cocktail recipe? This nod to the famous French aperitif is a perfect before dinner drink that’ll wow all of your dinner guests.
Kirs are traditionally made with crème de cassis, which is a currant-flavored liqueur, and white wine or champagne. A kir made with champagne is called a Kir Royale, and is absolutely a treat to sip while mingling with guests at any party. We’re talking cloud neuf, here.
Thanksgiving Kir Cocktail Recipe (makes 5 servings)
1 bottle of chilled white wine or champagne
6 tbsp. of pomegranate or cranberry liqueur
If you plan to make a simple kir, spoon one tablespoon of your pomegranate or cranberry syrup into the bottom of each wine glass, and then pour your chilled wine over the syrup.
To make a kir royale for a more fancy pre-dinner cocktail, follow the same steps with champagne flutes and champagne (or sparkling white wine if champagne is a little too expensive).
As the wine or champagne hits the syrup, the red color will blend beautifully and your end result will be a gorgeous pink-tinted cocktail that’s a delight to drink and is perfect for the colorful holiday ahead!
