An Inspiring Thanksgiving
Walking down the street after voting this morning, I was struck by how thankful I am to live in this great country where democracy and freedom ring true. Seeing my neighbors waiting in line for almost thirty minutes just to cast their ballots made me proud to be a part of it all.
By tomorrow we will have a new president and no matter what the outcome, the country will move in a different direction. Either way we have a lot to be thankful for such as our basic freedoms, family and friends, and our health.
Feeling inspired by election day, I'm motivated to work on my Thanksgiving dinner planning. Between the Thanksgiving invitations, the menu, holiday decorations and table settings, and travel arrangements for family, there is a lot on my plate.
My little secret is to use MyPunchbowl's party planning checklist to keep all of the details organized electronically. Otherwise I'd write notes down on post-its which almost always get misplaced or accidentally thrown away by my kids. Keeping everything online helps me stay organized when there's a lot of pieces to coordinate.
