Tips for Hosting a Delightful Garden Party
Warm summer weather and flowers in bloom is the perfect combination for hosting an exquisite garden party for you and your friends to enjoy.
Invite your friends to an afternoon of fun and laughs on garden themed invitations. Specify on the invitation if there is a dress code (sundresses, for example) and ask guests to bring their favorite potted plant or flower arrangement so you and your guests can do a plant swap during the party.
For decorations, hang up brightly colored lanterns and small lights, and fill bud vases with a few pretty flowers and put them all around (on tables and steps, perhaps). Create a relaxing atmosphere with jazz or classical playlists as background music.
If the weather forecast for your event is sunny skies, make sure you have umbrellas or shady areas for guests to keep cool and stay out of the sun.
Appetizers, desserts, and cocktails are perfect to serve for an afternoon garden party. If your party is in the evening, set up a buffet style dinner for your guests so it will still be easy for them to walk around and mingle. You can serve individual cocktails to your guests or else just provide pitchers of favorite summer drinks like sangria or lemonade for them to enjoy.
