Rubber Ducky Baby Shower

Babies are born all year long, but I feel like I've gotten a lot of invitations lately for baby showers. There must be something in the water. Speaking of water...if you're tasked with planning a baby shower and need a theme, here's a great one: a rubber ducky party!

From online invitations and the cake to decorations and party favors, there's so much you can do with this theme that is fun and easy to plan.

MyPunchbowl has an invitation specifically for this occasion that you can customize for the shower you're hosting. Don't like the ribbon used below? You can change it and choose one you like better!

Start with a color scheme of yellow, blue, and white. Whether you choose flowers, balloons, or both, stick with this colors scheme throughout. Incorporate it into the plates, snacks (M&Ms or jelly beans perhaps?), and the cake.

If you really want to "wow" your guests, you can create little ducky ponds at the shower using blue stones and/or low clear bowls with water.

If you plan to have a favor at the shower, there are a lot of ways you can take this. You could get favors that share the color scheme, like candles or soaps. Or you could really go all out with the rubber ducky theme and incorporate a rubber ducky into your favor with cookie cutters or frames. Once you start looking, you'll see there's quite a bit out there.

Enjoy Planning.
