Host Your Own Inauguration Ball
I know it's only December and we still need to get through the holidays and New Year's, but I can't help thinking about having an inauguration party! Whether you are happy with the outcome of the election or not, this year was an historic presidential race and hopefully the country will get taken in a new direction (can it get much worse?!?).
In addition to the swearing in of the president and the parade, the highlight of inauguration is the inauguration balls. They're held all over DC and in other cities all over the country.
If you're thinking about having a party to celebrate the inauguration, why not have your own inauguration ball? Tell your guests to dress up in red, white, and blue gowns like the ones that Michelle Obama might wear. Serve martinis and hors d'oevres. Play nice music. Set the scence for your own inauguration ball.
