Havana-Themed Pool Party
A great end of the summer party to throw in your backyard is a Cuban-themed Havana Pool Party. It is the perfect way to say bon voyage to summer and share some great laughs and memories with your friends and family!
Decorate your backyard with lots of different colors like red, yellow, blue, and green. You can also string lights in your doorways or patio umbrellas to create illuminating effects to light up the colors. Candles are also a great way to create a sultry Havana ambiance.
As guests arrive at the party, hand each of them a red rose. Serve lots of tropical foods like mangos, papayas, pineapple, oranges, and coconut. Other Cuban-inspired foods you can serve are quesadillas, taquitos, black beans, and rice. Margaritas, mojitos, and sangria are also a must for your Havana party.
Salsa music is a great way to get your guests into the Havana mindset. Some great artists to play are Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Jose Alberto, and Oscar De Leon. You may even want to move some of your patio furniture before your party in case your guests decide to try some salsa dancing!
