Girls’ Night Slumber Party

Whether you're planning a birthday slumber party for your daughter or hosting a girls night in slumber party of your own, us ladies never outgrow sleepover parties!

From age fifteen to thirty to fifty, the components of a sleepover are pretty much the same: delicious food and drinks (though fruit punch turns to cosmos), chic flicks, and chatting about the boys (ehem, men) in our lives until the wee hours of the night.

Here are some tips for planning your girls night in slumber party -- at any age.

1) Sleepovers don’t require a lot of elaborate decorations, but they do require a lot of space. When deciding how many guests to invite, keep in mind the amount of sleeping space that you will need. You may need to move furniture, set-up air mattresses, and provide extra blankets and pillows.

2) Rent a bunch of chick flicks to watch like Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Pretty Woman, or Love Actually. Chat about which movies people want to see on the invitation message board.

3) Before you pop in the movies, set up a DIY bar. In the case of a kids party, they might enjoy a make your own sundae bar. In the case of an adult girls night in, how about a make-your-own martini or margarita bar?

Enjoy Planning.
