Where to Host a Graduation Party

When people think of graduation parties, typically a backyard barbeque comes to mind. However, sometimes having a party at the house isn't the best option. Last spring I attended graduation parties at other locations that proved to be just as enjoyable.

First, a good friend of mine held her daughter's party at a local hall. The rental fee included the tables and chairs, and there was no issue of renting a tent “just in case.” Notably one of the best things was that there was a small kitchen area that made storing and preparing the food a breeze.

There was also a fully staffed cash bar which helped prevent underage drinking and a lot of wasted money spent on alcohol. At the end of the party they simply cleaned up the trash and made sure everything was as clean as when they set up. Then they packed the gifts in the car and headed home to their nice, clean house.

Another friend held her son’s graduation party at a local park. Seating was never an issue as there were plenty of picnic tables and blankets to go around. Some guests also brought collapsible lawn chairs that are pretty easy to just throw in the car.
Everyone brought a dish and the barbeque pit was going all day in full force. The wide open space gave the kids lots of room to play, and the adults had great game of volleyball going. At the end of the party everyone took their respective dishes and chairs home and even pitched in to help my friend and her husband clean up the trash.

Once you figure out where you're going to hold your party, you can design free graduation invitations that tie in to your location, like this one below:
