Happy National Children’s Day!

Penelope here, wishing all of my readers a very happy National Children's Day. Yes, it does also happen to be Columbus Day, but I feel that National Children's Day tends to be obscured by its adventurous counterpart, and I've decided to give it priority.

I'd also like to say that I'm grateful for my children. They are two beautiful, healthy kids who can make even the worst day better with a simple smile. And for those of you who don't have a child of some sort (daughter, son, niece, nephew etc.) in your lives, think about that cute baby you saw a few days ago or the little girl who waved to you from her car seat in traffic one day.

Now I'm not oblivious, and I know that kids can be a nuisance to those who don't have them (and, at times, even to those who do). But whether we like it or not, children are literally the future. The smart ones, the disobedient ones, the athletic ones, the shy ones--they all deserve a day of celebration because, when we've had our run, it'll be their turn to run the world.

So here's to you, little readers (hey, a girl can dream, right?). Have a great day, and do something fun, something utterly spontaneous for me. Because that's what kids do best.

Enjoy Planning.
