St. Patrick's Day Party Ideas: Green Foods
Believe it or not, you don't have to use green food coloring in order to serve green food at your St. Patrick's Day party this year.
Thinking of hosting a St. Patrick's Day party? My first piece of advice for you is to head over to MyPunchbowl.com to begin your party planning by checking out our fabulous collection of free online invitations for your St. Patrick's Day party.
My second piece of advice is more of a reminder. Throwing a St. Patrick's Day party does not, I repeat, does not have to mean dumping green food dye into every dish and drink you serve.
There are plenty of naturally green foods out there and (bonus!), they're usually packed with nutritional value.
A small list of green dishes, to help get your creative juices flowing:
- Grilled Asparagus
- Guacamole
- Spinach Rise
- Chile Verde
- Cream of Brocoli Soup
- Palak Paneer (a favorite Indian dish of mine)
- Green Grapes
- Green Tea Ice Cream
- Baked Granny Smith Apples
There...that help get you on your way to a successful and healthy St. Patrick's Day party! And if you're into staying really green in the kitchen, check out these tips on how to save energy while cooking!
Enjoy Planning.
