Groundhog Day Party...Really?
Will he or won't he? See his shadow, that is. Of course I'm talking about Punxsutawney Phil. Every year on February 2, Phil comes out of his burrow on Gobbler's Knob to predict the weather for the rest of winter. Talk about pressure!
If you've read about MyPunchbowl founder and CEO, Matt Douglas, on our website you'll know that Groundhog Day is his favorite reason to celebrate so I couldn't let this holiday pass without at least one post about hosting a Groundhog Day party.
If you're looking for a reason to celebrate this winter or you want to celebrate whatever outcome Phil predicts on February 2, host a Groundhog Day party!
MyPunchbowl has a wide range of email invitations designed specifically for this holiday. Start by customizing one of these:

You can then chose a theme for your party, such as "Spring Fever." The flowers might not be blooming yet outside, but you can decorate with brightly colored tulips, daffodils, and other spring flowers.
Choose a menu that incorporates spring foods such as asparagus, green beans, apricots, and spinach. Light salads and appetizers would work well.
Pull together your Spring Fever Groundhog Day party with a springtime party pack.
If you're still not convinced to have a Groundhog Day party, just think, when else is it socially acceptable to have a rodent on your invitations?
Enjoy Planning.
