Haunted Gingerbread House for Halloween
I just realized that National Candy Corn Day is coming up so I started thinking about what I can do with all of these bags of sugary sweet candy corn. A haunted gingerbread house, of course! I can't believe I haven't made one yet this year.
You make a haunted gingerbread house just like you would make a regular gingerbread house for the holidays. However, instead of gum drops and candy canes, you can use candy corn as well as other brown, yellow, and orange candies (M&Ms, jelly beans, etc). And of course, don't forget the frosting. If you search a little, you can probably find some Halloween-specific candies to include in your "yard" or on the roof of your house.
A haunted gingerbread house makes a terrific centerpiece at your Halloween party or in the window for the trick or treaters to see as they parade by. Then, have fun taking it apart and eating the remains!
Enjoy Planning.
