My Favorite Halloween Cocktail Recipe
I'm not a big "tini" drinker. Appletinis make my head spin, Peartinis are way to sweet and I've never even gotten the courage up to drink a Choco-Raspberrytini. I tend to stick to simple drinks that I can pronounce no matter how many I've had.
That said, I must admit that my one concession to the "tini" craze has been the Pumpkintini. I mention it here because it couldn't be more perfect as a themed drink for your sophisticated Halloween party, and it's pretty simple to make. Combine 2 oz. of chilled vodka and .25 oz of Pumpkin liqueur with some ice in a cocktail shaker, shake well, and serve. Although it takes patience, I like to slice a notch in a piece of candy corn and stick that on the rim of the Pumpkintinis I serve to add that extra little bit of Halloween flair that makes the holiday so special.
The difference between a Pumpkintini and the drinks I mentioned above is the sweetness factor. As opposed to tasting tart like your kids' candy, the Pumpkintini has a rich buttery flavor that is just right for a cool October night with friends. I'm planning on serving them at Charlie and my first fall get together in a few weeks, and I think you should too!
Enjoy!
Enjoy Planning.
