Creative Cupcakes for Halloween

The party is planned. Halloween party invitations have been sent. Now you're working on the decorations and the menu. Have fun with your Halloween treats this year -- get creative with frosting and toppings to make some freaky Halloween cupcakes. Fun toppings include gum drops, sprinkles, mini-marshmallows, and cookies.

I love these mummy cupcakes! Those yellow eyes poking out are enough to make me run for the hills -- or just take a big bite so I don't have to look at them anymore.

Here are some other ideas:

  • Create spider cupcakes using white frosting as the base with brown frosting and brown sprinkles to create the body and legs.
  • Cover a Nutter Butter cookie with white frosting and use brown frosting to write "RIP" on it then stick it in the cookie standing up. You can use green sprinkles as grass.
  • Make bloodshot eye cupcakes using life savers in the middle with a black dot of frosting filling the hole as the pupil. Then use red food gel to create the bloodshot marks from the center of the eye outward.
Enjoy Planning.
