Halloween Costume Help

Funny you should ask! One of my costume choices for the Halloween season is currently being displayed on the MyPunchbowl landing page. What do you think? Maggie thinks it’s “very cool,” and William has started telling his friends that his mom is a crazy lady. Myself, I think purple is a fun choice and certainly demonstrates my dedication to the wonderful holiday we have right around the bend (don’t worry, the color washes out).
For me, choosing a costume has always been a question of how to make a new twist on a classic standby. Take the witch Halloween costume, for example (which witch?). Most people go for plain old black wigs a couple of days before their Halloween parties and fall into the bottomless pit of same old, same old Halloween costumes as a result of the last-minute decision. Why not shake things up with a bright blue afro underneath your witch’s hat?
In all seriousness, if you’re looking for a fun idea, one of the best ways to get people’s attention is to present the most original interpretation of a classic Halloween type they’ve seen in a long time. The sexy witch is a classic, but the sexy witch with a bright blue afro, bright blue makeup and a bright blue leather belt (since belts are so stylish this season) is even better. And yes, it is possible to be sexy while wearing a blue afro. Have fun this Halloween party season and be sure to pick a costume that makes you feel original, sexy or just plain old terrifying!
