Halloween Craft Idea for Kids: Handprint Spider
Halloween is a great time to do some creative arts and crafts activities with your kids. Here's an idea for a fun painting activity to make scary spiders for Halloween. The spiders will also be great decorations to hang on the wall or from the ceiling once the paint is dry!
For materials all you need is black craft paint, paintbrushes, white paper, and googly eyes. Help your child paint the palms of their hands and four fingers, but omit their thumbs. This is because spiders have eight legs and so you will only need to paint the four fingers to make the spider legs, four on each side.
Once their palm is painted, have your child make a handprint onto the white paper. Then, turn the paper around and have them make another handprint, overlapping the palm area in the center of the white paper. Once the paint is dry, attach googly eyes to make a face for the spider.
Finally, you can either cut the spider out or just hang it up as it is!
