Creating a Haunted House Room by Room
Thinking about hosting a Halloween party but want to take it a little bit further? Turn your home into a frightful haunted house of sorts. Instead of making the entire house haunted, create a scary scene in each room that spooks and surprises guests upon entry.
The key to setting up your haunted house is to take it room by room. Figure out how many rooms you'll have available for the party, at a minimum probably the living room, kitchen, and entryway, and assign a theme to each room.
Here are some ideas for room themes and ways you can make them come to life (or death):
- Grave Yard. RIP signs, coffin cut-outs, skulls, skeletons/bones, spiders
- Operating Room (great for the kitchen). Jello brains, spaghetti guts, candy eyeballs, blood punch

- Witches Lair. Smokey cauldron, broomstick, old-fashioned lampshade, crystal ball (it might be cool to get a tarot card reader for the night!)
- Vampire Coven. Fangs, blood, moonlight
Don't forget to send out your free invitations for your Halloween party soon. It doesn't hurt to get your party on guests' calendars early!
Enjoy Planning.
