Decorating the Christmas tree can be a daunting task for one person. That's why I love the idea of throwing an intimate party for family members and friends to assist in trimming the tree. Since this is a busy time of year, it’s a great idea to establish the party as an Open House tree trimming party where guests can come and go as they please.
Holiday Film Festival Party
One of my favorite aspects of the holiday season is the endless repeat of “A Christmas Story” on cable. I also get all warm and fuzzy when commercials for classics like “Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer” start cropping up. I can't think of a better way to get nostalgic and celebrate the season than hosting a holiday film festival.

Make a Tasty Gingerbread House
Making a gingerbread house brings back memories from my childhood. Every year a neighbor used to invite all the kids over and we'd help make the gingerbread house by putting the gum drops on one at a time. Then a couple weeks later we'd all reconvene to destroy the gingerbread house by eating its walls, floors, and roofing. It was fabulous!
