Top Secret Kids Birthday Party
Everyone loves a good scavenger hunt. How about turning a scavenger hunt into the main activity as part of a top secret/ detective birthday party theme?
Divide the kids into groups and then give them everything they need to find the items on their list. This includes a list of clues and a magnifying glass which you can package up in an offical-looking manila envelope.
Instead of getting one of each item, get several of each so that each team has the opportunity to find everything on their list -- maybe the lists are even different with specific clues for each list so they don't overlap.
The items to hide will vary depending on the age of the child. For younger kids the items could include Silly Putty, box of crayons, yo-yo, jump rope,and a deck of cards. For older kids the items could include iTunes gift cards, baseball cards, hats, and candy.
Come together after the scavenger hunt for a top secret cake!
