Out of this World Birthday Party
TIred of the same Hollywood inspired birthday party themes? I mean, how many Pirates of the Caribbean and Batman parties can one kid attend? Searching the galaxy for an original theme? The answer is simple: “Space Odyssey.”
You can incorporate your theme from the very beginning. When you design your "Space Odyssey" email invitations, use some creativity with the language. For example, invite your guests to "join the crew of a very important birthday mission." You get the idea. Here's an example:
For a fun activity the kids can construct UFO's by gluing two paper plates together and decorating them with markers. Later on take the kids outside to see if they fly. Another fun game is a comet toss or “pin the tail on the commit.”
In lieu of cake, opt for freeze dried ice cream (ie space ice cream) and cupcakes made to look like the planets, the sun, and the moon.
And don’t forget to take pictures of the birthday boy and his friends with their UFO’s. After the party you can post them on the Mypunchbowl site for all the kids (and their parents) to view. Far out!
