Advice & information
Stocking stuffers are always so tricky, aren't they? You don't want to give your friends and family things that they'll never use, but you also don't want to spend a fortune on presents that should really be under the Christmas tree anyway. Well I, for one, refuse to let such a fun part of Christmas be a hassle. I've got a couple of guidelines for your stocking stuffer shopping this year that I think may help!
Looking for something new and different to serve after dinner this Christmas? Try a Bûche de Noël! Also spelled Bouche de Noel in the English-speaking world, this French cake is a classic Christmas tradition across the pond and would make a lovely addition to your family's holiday tradition, no matter what it is.
A friend asked me yesterday if there were any hard and fast Secret Santa guidelines that she should be following, as this year is her year to plan her office Holiday Party. While I'm not aware of a Secret Santa rulebook out there, I was able to come up with a few guiding tips for her, and thought I'd share them with you, too. If you're in charge of planning the office Holiday Party this year, holding a Secret Santa among friends or are simply curious as to what a Secret Santa is...not to fear! Penelope is here.
Looking for something easy and fun to do with your kids to get the house ready and decorated this Christmas? If you have magic markers, some paper plates, glue, glitter and a pair of scissors, you're all set to get Christmas decorating!
I don't know about you, but I knew that it was time to start my holiday party planning when I started hearing "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" more often on the radio than the new Alicia Keys song. That and, of course, the whole Black Friday thing. What a day!
